Reminding me how lucky I am…

As this photo shows, you could have had your car break down on a slipway, with the tide on the turn…

Or, alternatively, you could be a little egret who’s just caught a Poole oyster and will dine like a king.

Or, you could be me and have gone for a walk with your new camera and played and watched and enjoyed a sunny day that was the perfect temperature if you were wearing jeans and a cardigan. Okay, it isn’t warm. Okay, the forecast for the rest of the week isn’t good, but I’m going to do an all-day breakfast for lunch tomorrow, so that will be good too.
And oh, but it was lovely and quiet down by the Harbour. The usual dog walkers were there, including a couple with a pair of long-haired dachshunds, one of them was being carried in a special doggy backpack while looking out and very superior, which did leave me redefining the meaning of the words ‘taking the dog for a walk.’

Now I’m home, well-exercised and happy, and with fingers crossed for that poor car owner. It’ll be back to work on the Christmas Amy in a minute, but first, these are this week’s special offers at 99p in the UK and 99c in the US. As always, the collections are available all the time for those who don’t get special offers (and those who do.)
There are 3 in my alter ego of Eleanor Neville, who is a little darker and a little sexier. These are set around the world of reconstruction, and it’s appropriate because Andrew Stannard is starting to pop up in the Amy Hammond series. They’re Knight’s Move 28/, Knight to Pawn, and Pawn to Queen.
Then there are three more early Amy Hammonds, which cover the period where Amy is getting to know Peter Cunningham and falls in love with him and realises why she’s suddenly finding trouble. They’re A Prayer for Peace, To have and to hold and Let the Dead.
So have a good week and see you on Sunday.
