Little things...

Little things…

Yes, I know. Little things please little minds, and bigger fools look on is how the old saying goes, but this is one time when I’m proud to have a little mind. This morning, I was changing the bed when I glanced out of the bedroom window and saw the starlings gathering on the house roof opposite. First, one or two, then five or six more, then ten or eleven came to join them, lining up in a neat row on the TV aerial of the house opposite.

And then they began to fly, swooping down and round in spirals. Imagine this, obviously on a much smaller scale. Needless to say, the bed making waited for quite a while, and a grey November day became something I'll remember for a long time. And it was outside my window, and I can't help wondering how often I've missed it and what else I've been missing because I'm too caught up in living to stop and look...

So today, why not slow down and watch what the world has to offer you? Who knows what you'll see?
