It’s almost the first Thursday of the month…

Which logically follows Wednesday, which is when my weekly deals are released. I don’t want to bore you to tears, so I’ll just say that there are 3 written as Eleanor Neville, which are Knights Move, Knight to Pawn and Pawn to Queen, which all feature characters who are in the Amy Hammond book that’ll be published on Thursday, of which more later. If you like knights in shining armour, conflicted heroes, and a little bit of spice based around the BDSM world (strictly consensual and nothing worse than you’ll see on TV before the watershed), then they’re for you.
There are also 3 from the Amy Hammond series, which I write as Tia Brown, and which also, oddly enough, feature characters from the new book. Those are A Prayer for Peace, To Have and to Hold and Let the Dead, and Amy gets to go to Wales and meet Peter’s family as their relationship deepens. No sex on-page there, I promise, but feel free to use your imagination.
So that takes us to Thursday, where there are two books to look forward to.

In Duel With Death, Jane Austen’s world is recreated at Swansmere, complete with a duel. What could possibly go wrong? After all, you get to see Luke Grant doing his Mr Darcy impression and swim across the Swansmere Lake. There’s a dastardly brother, too, and I had so much fun researching it because I am a bit of a geek for that, and it seemed right that a Regency House should have a Regency costume drama. And since it’s Swansmere, it was always going to spill into real life, and there are times when a spy with a background in historical reconstructions can come in very useful.

Then we head for Windy Bay, which is where my imagination takes me when the world seems dark. Here we have a grumpy ex-Army doctor and a determinedly sunshiny practice receptionist, who’s about to have her world turned upside down. And who can help her? I bet you can guess! All the regulars are there too, including Colin and Jenny, who have news of their own. It’s fluff. I’m not ashamed of it, but it’s fluff with a purpose because I’m on the bone marrow register. So far, I haven’t been called, but I’m there if I’m needed, because my Mum needed a bone marrow transplant and someone else was there for her. Sadly, it failed, but they went through pain and inconvenience to give her a chance. And there’s a clue to the story, but as usual, it’s not that simple.
So happy reading and I’ll see you on Sunday.
