Bread Dad Easy Cheese Bread
You can find this here, https://breaddad.com/bread-machine-cheese-bread/ and it tastes amazing and makes the house smell gorgeous.
I’d strongly recommend a bread machine, and it’s amazing how often you can find them in charity (thrift) shops. Find one with a timer, and you can come downstairs to a freshly made loaf and a very tempting smell. Peter Cunningham in my Amy Hammond series uses his all the time, and so do I, because I’d rather make a small loaf and have it absolutely fresh. You can freeze it, but I’ve never got any left over.
I love making rolls, teacakes and muffins because they feel luxurious and just need good jam and butter.
With this recipe, some of the measurements are a bit fiddly, but if you do the 1 1/2lb loaf, then the milk is 250ml plus a dessert spoonful. I also always put the yeast in first and the salt in last because salt kills yeast, so they’re best kept apart. It’s gorgeous toasted with butter, or with cream cheese, especially on ‘meh’ sort of days.
