As you do…

It's been a pretty normal week in and around Poole. We’ve got unexploded artillery shells and a dinosaur going for a walk around nearby Wimborne. Don’t believe me? I can see why you mightn't, but ook here.

We’ve also got the Liberal Democrat Conference in Bournemouth, but on the whole, I think I prefer the dinosaurs. I'm not planning to make any awful jokes, but I can't stop you thinking, can I?

People ask me how and where I get ideas, so I thought I’d use these to explain it. I read the national and local press and file away anything that amuses me or triggers anything. I like the idea of the parade, and it’d fit in so nicely at Windy Bay, which is on the Jurassic Coast. The artillery shell would suit Lucy Williams or Peter Cunningham, especially if whoever found it had decided to steal it.

There’s this one too, about firefighters saving a cat. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce3yjz3g99yo and this one about seahorses, which I’ve seen in the wild in my very own Harbourside. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cyv6jzvqvylo And all of them have heroes, and people who thought, ‘Why not?’ Instead of ‘I can't do that. What will people think?’

I am so, so lucky to live in this special part of the world and know some of the people who make it special. We may not be big or important, but we have fun, and I am proud to be part of it and out with my camera and watching the wildlife, who are just as individual as the people. I mean, look at these tree ducks…Or three ducks. Take your pick. Okay, I’ll go and find a drainpipe to leave via, once I’ve wished you as good a week as I intended to have.
