A picture is worth a thousand words.

In this case, because it’s my beloved Poole, it’s a picture of a set of public toilets down on the part of Harbourside that’s called Baiter, because people still do dig bait and fish from there. The birds dig for bait too, and the crows and seagulls have discovered that the best way to break the shells open when oyster fishing is to drop them from height onto the cycle path. Don’t worry, they don’t hit many cyclists.

Anyway, they worked with Arts University Bournemouth, as you can read here https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/26142162.aub-students-transformed-baiter-park-wildlife-mural/ and, as it says, it celebrates the area’s importance for over wintering birds and our summer bird population. I particularly love the turnstones and godwits with scarves, so here they are too

Where else can you visit a loo while learning and helping arts students to learn?
